President Buhari Presents 2018 Budget
President Muhammadu Buhari has presented today a total of N8.612 billion estimated budget for 2018 in the joint session of the National Assembly.
While presenting the budget labeled "Consolidation Budget", Buhari promised the Nigerians better days in the future. He assured the national assembly of his administration's commitment to guarantee the total implementation of the estimate.
Earlier in his speech, the president of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, entrusted the federal government with the budget for 2018; saying how the budget is implemented will be the decisive moment of the Buhari administration.

He said the country needed to increase non-oil revenues, adding that the development of infrastructure should be a continuous priority for the administration.
Saraki said: "In implementation, we must ensure that projects do not have an excessive price, while people must see a future in every corner of this country."
He advised the federal government to eliminate what he described as "unnecessary waste" in budget implementation.
Speaking on her Twitter account, Saraki said: "Today it was a pleasure to welcome @NGRPresident @MBuhari to a joint session of @NASSNigeria to receive #Budget2018, in accordance with Section 81 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria of 1999 as amended. "
Saraki said: "In implementation, we must ensure that projects do not have an excessive price, while people must see a future in every corner of this country."
